International Finance Associate

Position Summary

The International Accounting & Finance Associate will be working alongside the International Finance Manager as well as the Finance teams in FlexCar’s international markets.

The position includes a number of responsibilities such as supporting with the financial reporting of each country, its financial statements, preparation of monthly reports and reconciliations, collaborating with external bookkeeping teams, liaising with auditors and in general supporting in all accounting, financial and tax matters of the international operations of FlexCar.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Group reporting standards and applicable accounting frameworks (IFRS).
• Cooperate with external advisors/bookkeepers/auditors.
• Performance of periodic controls over the data received by the bookkeepers.
• Assist with implementation of all financial data in ERP.
• Liaise and coordinate with international accounting teams for all finance, accounting and tax items.
• Assist with the preparation of files in consolidation level i.e. intercompany reconciliation, loans reconciliation.
• Ensure international markets follow Group guidelines for accounting and finance processes.
• Support financial and tax due diligence processes.
• Availability of traveling to FlexCar’s international markets (2-3 times per year).

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of accounting/tax/audit experience within a fast-paced environment.
• University degree in Accounting / Economics from a top tier university.
• Understanding of financial reporting principles (IFRS).
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong planning, organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
• Passion for working with numbers, a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
