Solid-works Designer / Developer

Summary:

            Create 3D assembly designs using Solid-works modeling software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop sheet metal parts and assemblies using various methods, such as: 2D technical drawings, replicating existing parts, and creating items from photos, verbal directions, hand sketches, etc.

Wear all required PPE when working in the shop areas.

Read and interpret technical drawings.

Able to withstand environmental factors such as:

Outside weather conditions

High, precarious places

Exposed to fumes and airborne particles

Very loud noise level

Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs

Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:

Stooping

Bending

Squatting

Climbing

Crawling

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

Strong computer skills using various Microsoft and Graphic Art applications such as: Word, Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.

Minimum 1 year experience using Solid-works in the workplace or highly proficient in the development of sheet metal parts using Solid-works.

Some CAD experience working with 2D type drawings (.DXF and .DWG file types).

Project management experience with demonstrated ownership of projects from concept through completion is a plus

Other Requirements:

Must be able to pass Drug Screening, Work Ability Screening.
