💰 $160,000–$180,000 base + bonus potential

Our employee-owned construction client in New York City is seeking an experienced Internal Senior Auditor to lead accounting operations and support executive leadership in a dynamic, project-driven environment. This is a high-impact role offering strong compensation, generous benefits, 401(k) with match, and an ESOP contribution of approximately 10% of annual salary — giving you a true ownership stake in the company’s success.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

Coordinate financial statement preparation and external audit process

Provide analytics around job schedules, project performance, and financial trends

Partner directly with the CFO on reporting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives

Step in wherever needed to support accounting and finance operations

Oversee and support Project Accountants

Monitor and manage company cash flow and banking relationships

Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger

Lead month-end close process (targeting close by the 10th business day)

Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to corporate leadership

✅ Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

5+ years of auditing, accounting and finance

Construction industry experience (any exposure strongly considered)

MUST have Public accounting audit experience

Senior-level exposure to financial analytics

Must have longevity in current and prior positions

Strong ERP experience
