SGS’s C&P (Consumer and Products) services help businesses ensure product safety, quality, and compliance through testing, inspection, certification, and auditing—covering everything from manufacturing to distribution across various consumer goods sectors.

Job Title: Internal Sales Manager  

Job Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Job Location:  Hybrid - Buxton/Manchester

Salary: Competitive + 25 % Bonus

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded individual to support the sales operations within our Connectivity business. This role plays a key part in managing customer enquiries, preparing accurate quotations, and ensuring smooth order processing. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to drive enquiry-to-order conversion and enhance overall customer experience. This is a great opportunity to contribute to business growth while developing your commercial and technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries and prepare accurate, timely quotations in line with business KPIs
• Proactively track and progress quotations through to closure, engaging directly with clients
• Liaise with internal teams and customers to gather information and deliver solutions-focused support
• Maintain and update CRM systems, ensuring enquiry and lead data is accurate and up to date
• Support sales growth by identifying opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and contributing to marketing initiatives

Essential

• GCSEs at grade C or above in English and Maths
• Qualification in engineering subject (ideally to HNC level or above)

Desirable

• Experience in a TIC related business
• Driving licence for us in the UK
