Employment Specialist III – Day Support Program

Pay Differential: Up to $1.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday; Full-Time 30–40 hours/week
Position Overview
Work Unlimited is hiring an Employment Specialist III (ES III) to support and strengthen our Day Support Program.
This is a leadership-focused, development role designed for employees ready to step into higher responsibility. You will play a key role in day-to-day operations, staff mentorship, and program quality, while gaining experience that prepares you for future advancement.
You’ll split your time between:
Direct support and program oversight
Office-based coordination and documentation
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Mentorship
Model calm, effective decision-making in high-pressure situations
Support and mentor new employees alongside management
Set the standard for professionalism, accountability, and quality support
Promote independence and community integration for individuals
Day Support Program Coordination
Plan and organize engaging facility and community-based activities
Coordinate logistics, supplies, and staffing needs
Ensure activities align with individual goals and program expectations
Quality & Documentation
Review documentation for accuracy, completion, and goal progress
Assist with eXPRS billing entries
Support development and implementation of DSA action plans
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
At least 3 months of direct support or supervisory experience
Basic computer skills (including typing and documentation)
Ability to pass a DHS background check
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Certifications (or ability to obtain)
OIS (Oregon Intervention System)
First Aid / CPR
Work Environment & Expectations
This role operates in dynamic, fast-paced environments and includes:
Supporting individuals with complex behavioral needs
Occasional exposure to loud environments and interruptions
Potential for evening/weekend responsibilities and mandatory overtime when needed
Physical activity including lifting (up to 50 lbs) and behavioral interventions
