Internal Medicine / Med-Peds Nocturnist Hospitalist Opportunity
Kenansville, North Carolina
A healthcare system and community hospital located in Kenansville, North Carolina are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Med-Peds Physician to join a well-established hospitalist program as a Nocturnist. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.
Position Highlights
• Hospital-employed opportunity within an established physician group
• Hospital privileges at an 81-bed community hospital
• Join an established Med-Peds hospitalist team consisting of 6 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider
• Schedule options include:
• Three 14-hour shifts per week, or
• Six 14-hour shifts every other week
• Coverage includes a 9-bed open ICU with tele-intensivist support from a tertiary medical center
• ICU procedures may include ventilator management, lumbar puncture, and central line placement
• Fully integrated EPIC electronic medical record system
• Specialty support available, including:
• General Surgery
• Cardiology
• Otolaryngology
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Gastroenterology
• Nephrology
• Ophthalmology
• Sleep Medicine
• Speech Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Average nightly hospitalist admission volume is approximately six patients

Requirements:
General Information
Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina and meet the credentialing requirements for hospital privileges. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of standard pre-employment screenings.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Med-Peds
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program
• Eligible for or able to obtain medical licensure in the state of North Carolina
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges and credentialing
• Experience or comfort with hospital-based patient care
• Ability to manage patients in an inpatient setting, including ICU-level care when required
• Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
