Responsibilities:
Work as part of a fast paced and vibrant team, interacting with internal end users requiring support (1st Line Support), quickly analyzing the nature of queries and customer problems and provide suitable solutions within service level agreements.
Establishing and maintaining high levels of incident ownership throughout the Incident lifecycle, bringing the Incident to a satisfactory conclusion, applying appropriate escalations procedures if required.
Act as the on-site point of contact for Group IT within our Cape Town office, supporting the office-based Infrastructure and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place.
Processing Joiner, Mover, and Leaver Requests.
Maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Supporting the on-going maintenance of Internal systems (including hardware and software)
Working closely with 3rd party suppliers as needed to resolve issues.
Supporting the team in maintaining appropriate controls that underpin our ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials accreditations, and address identified risks and opportunities.
Comply with and support the business in achieving full compliance with all company and department policies and procedures.
Skills and experience:
Proven experience in resolving IT related issues.
Experience Supporting Microsoft Desktop (Windows 10, 11, Microsoft Office. Sharepoint and Teams).
Experience Supporting hardware (Laptops, Printers, Monitors, Routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points etc.).
Understands the fundamentals of Cyber Security and application of policies.
Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
Proven Customer service skills.
Ability to take ownership of and progress incidents to resolution.
Ability to work under pressure, we operate at a high cadence and strive to work well within our SLA’s.
Strong team player, able to work in and create a supportive environment for other team members.
Experience with Active Directory (including Azure Active Directory), Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune).
Desirable:
Experience managing SaaS based applications, including their integrations.
Experience working with threat and vulnerability management technologies.
Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
Understanding of network terminology, diagnostics, and configuration (Routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points)
