Job Summary:
At Quetzal International Services, we are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join our Marketing & Communications team. This is a unique opportunity to define the company's internal communication strategy and play a pivotal role in engaging, informing, and inspiring our employees. The ideal candidate will partner closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement thoughtful, creative, and effective internal communication strategies. The successful candidate will also oversee the design, content, and ongoing management of our internal intranet platform, transforming it into a central hub for communication and connection.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the head of Marketing to craft and execute an internal communications strategy that aligns with our global vision and values.
• Develop communication best practices and guidelines for the organization and teams to ensure a unified brand voice across all international offices/teams.
• Establish and manage the internal communication procedures and approval processes for the organization, building one unified corporate voice and avoiding miscommunication and misinterpretation across individual departments.
• Lead the execution of the communication strategy to ensure our messaging aligns and amplifies our global messaging strategy across the organization.
• Translate complex technical and business updates into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences across the enterprise.
• Draft and manage executive communications, including All Hands, leadership updates, organizational announcements, and sensitive change messaging.
• Manage technical aspects of communications, including Leadership Townhall livestreams, ensuring proper operation of streaming platforms.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Tech, and other departments to support change communications, employee engagement, and organizational updates.
• Own and manage internal communication channels (Teams, intranet, newsletters, digital signage, video updates) and maintain an editorial calendar.
• Lead the redesign and content strategy for our Simpplr-based intranet, ensuring it is intuitive, engaging, and informative for all employees.
• Rally internal teams to support company-wide internal and external initiatives.
• Partner with departments to communicate policies, programs, and compliance/safety requirements with clarity and impact.
• Create and manage a communications calendar to ensure timely, relevant, and consistent messaging across all internal channels, including email strategy and deployment.
• Monitor engagement and feedback to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in internal communications.
• Establish feedback loops, measure the effectiveness of communications, and surface teammate insights to leadership.
• Serve as the teammate advocate by building strong, collaborative relationships with teammates at all levels.
Required Experience:
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner within a diverse/complex organization to help drive business results.
• Proven hands-on experience with restructuring and maintaining internal communication platforms, including intranet and email.
• Experience in directing and executing change management communications.
• Experience in directing and executing teammate experience and events for cultural initiatives.
• Track record of proactively identifying problems, proposing solutions, and successfully implementing improvements.
• Phenomenal verbal and written communication, and copywriting skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in writing for a variety of different audiences is also desired, including creative writing skills, blogging, and vlogging.
• Experience designing and building intranets or other knowledge management or teammate engagement portals.
• Experience working with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with multimedia content creation, such as video and interactive newsletters.
• Eye for graphic design to produce visuals to accompany internal company ads and articles.
• Experience in publishing content on Simpplr or similar platforms like SharePoint.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in internal communications or employee engagement.
• English level: C1.
