Role:
Crisis Group is offering an excellent learning opportunity in video and multimedia production. In this role you will learn to produce short videos for social media, learn how to match that with conflict prevention strategies and see how a policy organisation develops its communications strategies in relation to all kinds of audio-visual media.
In this internship you will also be observing, contributing to and providing feedback on our processes as a member of the communications team. This is a volunteer internship position for 6-months starting in early March 2026.
We offer you learning on the job through:
Responsibilities:
• Help develop multimedia and video content for Crisis Group’s website and social media;
• Assist with editing videos using primarily Adobe Premiere Pro and other tools such as Adobe After Effects and Adobe Audition;
• Assist during interview recordings with Crisis Group’s analysts;
• Assist with the researching, writing and editing of scripts, storyboards and story synopses;
• Update video content on Crisis Group’s website and social media;
• Support in the selection of images for Crisis Group’s publications;
• Assist with editing photography for key publications and social media posts using Lightroom and Photoshop;
• Engage professionally with social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter;
• Monitor developments in online media;
• Monitor the success of our multimedia outputs and campaigns using YouTube analytics and other tools; and
• Provide general support to the communications team.
