Get to Know the Team

The Integrity team is dedicated to safeguarding our users on Grab. We are building a centralized, unified Risk and Compliance technology platform using Grab's proven risk and compliance tech, GrabDefence. We use our datasets and advanced AI capabilities to address critical challenges, from ensuring safety and preventing fraud to achieving regulatory compliance. We are involved in the entire data lifecycle, including analyzing user behavior, identifying financial crime anomalies, and developing detection and prevention modules across user onboarding and transaction journeys.

 

Get to Know the Role

As an Intern, Risk Strategy, you will play a supporting role in strategic initiatives focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the Grab's Deliveries Vertical . This is a chance to apply your analytical skills to real-world, complex business challenges in one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing digital businesses. You will gain hands-on experience in a cross-functional environment, contributing to actionable plans and regional roadmaps. The program is part of Grab's efforts to build a future-ready workforce and offers valuable opportunities for aspiring professionals to gain practical experience.

You will report to Senior Manager, Risk Strategy, and you will base onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Assist in identifying potential business gaps and risks by analyzing market, competitor, and internal operational data.
• Support ongoing strategic initiatives (e.g., new business model exploration or category expansion) by performing quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
• Contribute to the development of regional roadmaps by preparing necessary data and reports.
• Prepare and visualize data-backed insights and recommendations related to risk mitigation and performance evaluation for review by the team.
• Conduct deep-dive research on risk trends and emerging issues relevant to the Grab's Deliveries business.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You will need to start the internship in August 2026 with a minimum duration of 3 months.
• Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Economics or any relevant field.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and connect insights across various data sources.
• A high degree of curiosity about customers, markets, competitors, and the underlying numbers.
• Proficiency in data manipulation tools (e.g., Excel/Sheets).
• Curious about how AI can be applied responsibly to improve business decisions and user experiences
