The Integrity team is dedicated to safeguarding all Grab users. We ensure user safety, prevent fraud, and help the Grab ecosystem achieve regulatory compliance. This team involves itself in the entire data lifecycle, from analyzing user behavior to developing detection and prevention modules across user onboarding and transaction journeys.
Get to Know the Role
Reporting to an Analytics Manager in the Integrity team, you will implement controls that protect Grab's ecosystem. You will assist with deep-dive analysis on user behaviors, product funnels, and transaction patterns to help identify potential risks and new fraud typologies. Your analytical support will contribute to the design of risk detection strategies, optimization of AI/Machine Learning models, and implementation of crucial risk controls to safeguard a diverse user base.
You will base onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
• Assist in measuring and analyzing key risk metrics, such as fraud loss, business/product performance, and the performance/effectiveness of existing risk controls across Grab business verticals.
• Support the identification of new fraud and risk patterns by extracting and visualizing data, contributing to the development of data-driven rules and strategies.
• Perform statistical analyses to improve risk detection systems and ensure data integrity.
• Contribute to reporting and data visibility efforts by preparing datasets and dashboards to empower stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Risk Operations) with insights on key risk metrics and evolving attack patterns.
• Support data extractions and preparations required for internal audits and compliance assessments.
• Help design and analyze experiments to determine the effectiveness of new or existing risk controls within the platforms.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
• You will be able to join internship in August 2026 with a minimum duration of 3 months.
• Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or an equivalent quantitative field.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL/data querying.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Understanding of basic statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, probability distributions, regression).
• A high degree of curiosity and willingness to learn about risk management, fraud, and compliance in digital ecosystems.
