VML Emerge Internship Program

Ready to launch your career at the forefront of innovation? Join VML for an exhilarating immersive program designed to accelerate your growth. You'll gain invaluable real-world experience through hands-on project work, dynamic team collaboration, and a strong focus on cutting-edge AI integration, including a dedicated intern project crafting a mock pitch for a real client of ours, all complemented by specialized career development events.

This is a 10-week hybrid internship (June 2nd - August 6th, 2026). You’ll work 4 days in the office and 1 day remotely.

Who We’re Looking For:

Ready to make your mark in motion? VML is searching for a driven Motion Design Intern to join our dynamic creative team. This isn't just an internship; it's an opportunity to dive headfirst into real-world projects, learn from industry leaders, and bring major brands to life through captivating animation and visual storytelling. You'll contribute directly to campaigns that resonate globally.

What You'll Do:

• Design and animate compelling motion graphics for diverse platforms (social, web, video, ads).

• Prepare visual assets (graphics, typography) for animation, ensuring brand consistency.

• Assist with video editing, including asset selection, sequencing, and basic color correction.

• Contribute fresh ideas to creative brainstorms and concept development.

• Organize and manage digital asset libraries for efficient workflow.

• Research and integrate cutting-edge motion trends and techniques.

• Iterate and refine work based on feedback from senior designers.

• Ensure projects meet VML's high quality standards and deadlines.

Who You Are:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.

• A compelling online portfolio/reel showcasing strong motion design fundamentals and a passion for visual storytelling is essential.

• Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.

• Solid grasp of animation principles, design fundamentals, and typography.

• Eager to learn, proactive, and open to constructive feedback.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Detail-oriented and organized.

• Bonus Points For:

• Experience with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender).

• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Storyboarding skills.

• Basic audio editing knowledge.

Eligibility

• You are a rising undergrad senior, a recent grad, or a on a non-traditional path with a track record of delivering impact.

• Must be 18+ with U.S. work authorization

• Must be available to work and learn throughout the entirety of the program

The base hourly rate for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
