Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineer Intern will work with Electrical Designers and Engineers to use various design software to create accurate drawings.
JOB DUTIES:
Utilize design software to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models of custom equipment based on client specifications and project requirements.
Create project documents as required, including bills of materials, parts lists, etc
Communicate variances in job scope effectively.
Ensure technical support is provided to the appropriate teams: Design and Fabrication
Ensure proper communication with all teams throughout the duration of each project.
Work diligently to ensure there are no disruptions on projects.
Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program.
0-1 years of experience is required.
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Construction Industry.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

Encourage and standardize SixSigma – 5S approach for consistent and convenient placement in-progress work so that it can be efficiently processed and moved to the next discipline
Be regularly in the work areas, Gemba, seeing how the technology is being implemented and identifying problem areas and areas of improvement
Guide continuous improvement results with Lean Plan-Do (study)-Check-Act (PDCA) procedure
Utilize the plus/delta technique to elicit assessment at conclusion of meetings and other group activities
