OVERVIEW
Reporting to both the Senior Director of Marketing Atlantic, and the Senior Manager, Marketing Ontario; the Bilingual Graphic Design Assistant Intern will provide support and gain learning opportunities across a variety of projects, covering graphic design needs to support the marketing team while promoting Circular Materials’ recycling promotion and education initiatives.
This intern position position requires bilingualism in French and English, along with residency in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Ontario.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the creation of graphic design assets for social media, presentations, educational materials, and marketing campaigns in professional level English and French.
Help maintain and update corporate templates, graphics, and design assets aligned with brand guidelines.
Collaborate on website updates by assisting with creative elements and content enhancements.
Provide design and organizational support for stakeholder events, webinars, and community activities.
Conduct market research to identify design trends and creative opportunities.
Assist with the coordination of special projects, including creating visuals for internal and external communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Post-secondary education – currently enrolled in a Graphic Design, Marketing or Communications
Experience
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Canva.
Strong understanding of visual design principles and creativity in producing engaging content.
Basic knowledge of social media platforms and website content management systems.
A portfolio of design work or class projects showcasing relevant skills is an advantage.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to work collaboratively with a variety of teams.
Must be able to proficiently read and write Canadian French.
WORKING CONDITIONS
All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a home office environment.
High work volume and fast paced ‘start up’ environment.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
Expected Compensation:
A salary of $14,700 for the 4-month term.
The salary listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects working full-time hours.
