A typical day on the job might look like:

Providing consulting services as an Environmental Professional in contaminated sites management for government and private sector clients.

Applying scientific and engineering principles to multi-disciplinary environmental projects.

Managing and completing contaminated sites projects, including Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments, remediation programs, risk assessments, and environmental compliance monitoring.

Preparing and reviewing proposals and technical reports.

Collaborating with our Environmental Team and other GEMTEC service lines to design and deliver projects of varying sizes and complexities.

Evaluating team needs and contributing to the growth and development of our Environmental Team.

Your background and what you bring:

A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geoscience, etc.

A Registered Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo.) in Canada is required.

 Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing contaminated sites or a combination of related experience.

A thorough understanding of provincial and federal regulations related to contaminated site management.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience in preparing technical and cost proposals.

Field program management, including resource and budget oversight.

Ability to build business relationships with clients, regulators, and subcontractors.

Technical experience in hydrogeology and/or environmental risk assessment is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
