Interim Executive Assistant – Rural Healthcare-Contract Remote (Hybrid)
The Rural Collaborative (TRC) is seeking an Interim Executive Assistant to support executive leadership across our rural healthcare organizations. This is a 30-hour per week contract role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting executive operations and HR coordination.
This role plays a key part in keeping leadership, compliance, and administrative functions running smoothly across multiple rural healthcare initiatives.
**Required: Candidates must reside in Washington State or be willing to relocate to Washington prior to start date.
Position Details
Interim / Contract role- approximately 18 weeks
Compensation: $40.00 an hour
Day shift/ 30 hours per week
Remote with occasional travel as needed
What You’ll Do
Executive & Administrative Support
Manage executive and board calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination
Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and take accurate meeting minutes
Coordinate travel, lodging, and event logistics for leadership and committees
Monitor and respond to member communications
Assist with onboarding new members and ensuring required documentation is complete
Track compliance items including insurance policies, corporate filings, and renewals
Ensure reports, documentation, and payments are completed accurately and on time
Support special projects assigned by executive leadership
HR & Operational Support
Assist with employee onboarding and benefits enrollment
Support performance review tracking, merit increases, and bonus processing
Help coordinate salary adjustments and HR documentation
Ensure travel and training requests are completed prior to approval
Assist with contractor payroll processing
Complete reference checks for suppliers and partners
What We’re Looking For
Prior executive assistant or senior administrative experience
HR coordination, onboarding, or payroll support experience preferred
Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or rural health environments is a plus
