Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist – Intensive Care Medicine
Fixed-term 12-month contract with possible extension
We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine to join a busy, well-supported regional ICU in Central Queensland.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art ICU, currently operating with 11 beds and capacity to increase to 14 beds. The department provides intensive care services across Rockhampton and surrounding regions, including Gladstone, Emerald, Biloela and Longreach, managing a diverse caseload of adult and paediatric presentations, including trauma, complex medical, oncology, surgical and paediatric cases. The unit sees approximately 450–650 presentations per year, including 60–100 paediatric admissions, and is supported by a strong team including a Director, Deputy Director, Staff Specialists, Senior Registrars, Registrars and junior medical staff.
Salary package:
Up to $502,876 p.a. for Staff Specialist level and up to $550,085 p.a. for Senior Staff Specialist level, depending on classification and experience.
