We are seeking an experienced analyst and team lead to oversee high-quality geopolitical risk analysis, maritime security analysis, and digital threat intelligence. You will oversee a team of Associates based in Manila providing 24/7 monitoring, reporting, and operational support to Crisis24’s global consulting services, in addition to broader support to Crisis24’s Crisis & Security Consulting (CSC) team.
This role requires deep subject-matter expertise in geopolitics, maritime security dynamics, and emerging global trends, combined with strong leadership and editorial oversight. The Team Lead will guide analytical output, mentor the Associate team, and coordinate closely with CSC’s global team of consultants to support client-focused project deliverables.

Duties & Responsibilities:
As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for the smooth, efficient, and continuous operation of CSC’s team in the Philippines, including (but not limited to):
Team Management
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Associates, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, accountability, and professional growth.
Oversee daily workflow, task allocation, and performance management, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality intelligence products.
Conduct regular coaching sessions, skills assessments, and training plans to upskill team members in geopolitical analysis, writing, and client engagement.
Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team and across global intelligence units.
Geopolitical & Security Analysis
Produce and review bespoke analytical reports and products supporting CSC projects globally
Oversee the production of maritime security reports, incident reports, and other maritime security consultancy projects
Oversee the production of research and investigative support for CSC projects globally, including due diligence investigations and online threat and vulnerability assessments
Monitor global political, economic, and security developments to identify emerging trends with potential business implications.
Maintain subject-matter expertise across key regions and issues such as maritime high-risk areas, political instability, conflict dynamics, sanctions, regulatory change, terrorism, and transnational threats.
Ensure analytical accuracy, methodological consistency, and adherence to internal editorial standards.
Quality Assurance & Editorial Oversight
Provide editorial leadership, reviewing and refining team outputs to maintain high analytical and stylistic standards.
Ensure reports, alerts, and client deliverables meet expectations in clarity, structure, and actionable insight.
Implement quality control processes, provide constructive feedback, and guide Associates toward continuous improvement.
Client Support & Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across CSC to align analytical output with client needs.
Support with the development of client presentations and queries on geopolitical and maritime security issues and trends
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including special reports, scenario analyses, and thematic research.
Collaborate with CSC’s global consulting teams to support client operations, including both pre-incident consulting and crisis response.
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a shift-based team, maintaining balanced rosters and ensuring consistent staffing levels across all hours.
Develop, maintain, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive quality and efficiency.
Monitor performance metrics and uphold service standards for accuracy, timeliness, and reliability.
Monitor workload distribution, productivity metrics, and team KPIs to ensure optimal performance.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Ensure compliance with internal processes, data-security standards, and reporting obligations.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in International Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or similar
3-5 years of experience in geopolitical risk analysis, intelligence, security consulting, or related domains.
Proven experience managing or mentoring analysts or small teams in a high-output environment.
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
Strong ability to interpret complex political and security trends and translate them into clear, actionable insights for clients.
Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to fast-evolving situations.
Native-level proficiency in English, written and spoken.
A flexible and adaptable approach, including willingness to travel within the Asia-Pacific region, occasionally to higher-risk environments.
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate staff within a 24/7 operational structure.
Strong attention to detail, ability to assess complex maritime situations, and deliver clear, concise intelligence outputs.
Excellent analytical and communication skills and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Strong IT literacy, including use of Microsoft applications and OSINT tools.
Eligibility to reside and work in the Philippines.
Preferred
Demonstrated interest or experience in maritime security, including awareness of global threat actors and High-Risk Areas.
Familiarity with AIS data, vessel tracking systems, and maritime security frameworks (e.g., BMP5, IMB, IMO regulations).
Experience working or traveling within Asia-Pacific, particularly in complex or high-risk environments.
Familiarity with OSINT monitoring platforms and digital threat intelligence tools.
Experience working with distributed teams or global operations is an asset.
