Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Integration Engineer (all genders) with focus on mechanics to join our team. In this role you take responsibility for the development and integration of complex systems into our aircraft act as the interface between design and system integration:
• You develop highly integrated CAD assemblies from components to subsystems and complete systems.
• You integrate components into the aircraft while considering aerodynamic and structural requirements.
• You take into account interfaces (fluid, mechanical, aero) as well as environmental conditions (pressure, temperature, vibration).
• You perform FEM calculations.
• You support the mechanical packaging design.
• You accompany system integration on test benches and applications – both at our Stuttgart site and at customer locations.
Requirements:
• Completed degree in a STEM field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering)
• Several years of relevant professional experience in integration/packaging of technical systems or related areas
• CAD skills (Catia)
• Experience in FEM calculations, e.g., with Altair
• Experience with fuel cells and H₂ systems as well as aviation standards
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel
• Knowledge of packaging design for aerospace applications
• Familiarity with handling cryogenic substances
