• Own chart of accounts mapping and alignment across entities
• Prepare and support opening balance sheets for each acquisition
• Lead system cutovers and ERP onboarding
• Drive month-end close improvements and standardization across portfolio companies
• Identify and remediate legacy accounting issues and process gaps at acquired businesses
• Assist in preparing purchase price allocation (PPA) schedules, including fair value adjustments and opening balance sheet entries
• Develop expertise in ASC 805 (purchase accounting) — no prior experience required, but willingness to learn is essential
• Partner cross-functionally with deal, diligence, and accounting teams to ensure seamless integrations
Ideal Candidate

• 8+ years of experience; public accounting and controller experience a plus
• CPA preferred
• Experience with M&A transactions
• Significant knowledge of GAAP
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects at the same time
• Experience with a range of financial tech stack applications strongly preferred
• Team oriented and excited to grow and scale a business over the next 5-10 years
• High learning agility and eagerness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Unquestionable integrity
• Ability to work proactively across multiple stakeholders; excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
