Job Description
CSSM is seeking a part-time Intake Specialist to join our team! The Intake Specialist will work to ensure timely and professional admissions of new clients seeking Outpatient and Rehabilitative (CTSS and ARMHS) services.
This position will be located at either our Mankato or St. Peter Clinic. Orientation will occur at our Mankato Clinic. The position will be 20 hours per week; exact hours will be determined upon hire. This position has the potential to move into a full-time position.
This candidate must be reliable, detail oriented, and be self-disciplined to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred candidates will have experience or training in a clinical/mental health setting.
Responsibilities:
Maintain updated waiting list
Provide customer service via in person or by telephone for customer inquiries, intake, and answering questions
Verify financial arrangements on new referrals and reopened cases
Coordinate all initial outgoing correspondence
Obtain initial releases for exchange of information with referral agencies
Create client in Procentive
Obtain referral material for evaluations and follow up on releases
Obtain diagnostic assessments for CTSS and ARMHS clients and/or set up diagnostic appointment
Serve as a support and resource to therapists and in-home service providers
Demonstrate knowledge of insurance company’s protocols and procedures
Schedule intake appointments
Coordinate & verify intake paperwork is completed
Collaborate with clinical supervisors on client assignments and other intake needs
Participate in ongoing supervision with direct supervisor and department or interdepartmental meetings
Assist with interdepartmental tasks as needed (answering phone calls, checking in clients, etc.)
Qualified applicants will possess:
Proficiency in accessing insurance benefits through websites and provider services lines
Experience with electronic medical records (Procentive)
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of clinical services
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage frequent work interruptions
Ability to engage with employees and referral agents effectively
Initiative to gather required clinical and demographic information
Be efficient in generating necessary intake forms and ensure completion of intake process and case assignments
Ability to handle high demand and fluctuation of workload
Ability to prioritize & maintain flexibility to reprioritize as needs change
