Qualifications
Experience in administrative support or customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry
Health and life license required (or exam passed within 90 days of employment)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Continue insurance education through schools, academies, licenses, registrations and designations
Series 6 licensing preferred (and Series 63 in applicable states) registration allows you to work with variable annuity, variable life and mutual funds
Overall Function
An insurance operations specialist will handle all insurance new business, servicing of existing book of business and setting current risk client annual meetings.
The Insurance Operations Associate role may also include the following responsibilities:
Utilizing the network illustration system for recommendation and review meetings for the advising team
Maintain relationship with outside firm brokerage when outside business illustrations are necessary
proactively scheduling client reviews, rescheduling meetings, confirming appointments, calling clients for birthdays and checking in for major life event changes
Manage advisors LinkedIn messaging and inputting referrals to the firm
Onboard new client insurance accounts, collecting required client information and documentation
Schedules Insurance Exam medicals, client follow up included
Contact clients to follow-up on outstanding forms, tasks, and other information.
Enter new client or updated client data in CRM and other software systems.
Underwriting management/monitoring and client communication via approved NM communication platforms
Ordering/sending birthday cards and holiday gifts, organizing events.
Policy Owner services: policy reconsideration requests, changes to beneficiary/payments, shortages, pre-screen for life/Disability insurance applications, calling for multi-life discount.
Actively track and follow-up on new account onboarding and client service tasks
Handle advisor post meeting case notes, process correspondence, and maintain client case files
Gathering information for financial advisor’s meeting with client/prospect
Preparing advisory annual review information
