Add Location : This role is based in Unki Mines Shurugwi Zimbabwe
The role is responsible for providing technical and operational systems support to the process division. The role requires a high degree of competence in instrumentation used in highly automated plants. The role is further responsible for ensuring that all systems are maintained and optimized to ensure that the capacity to the production process is maximized.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• • Management and maintenance of the control solution including, all instrumentation on the plant, interface junction boxes and the fieldbus network infrastructure.
• Management of the instrumentation department including alignment to the requirements of the plant management.
• Ensuring Control Solution performance management including alignment to the Valterra Platinum control solution standard
• Controlling Solution systems and procedures
• Ensuring stable instrumentation, network and hardware platform for the control solution of the metallurgical processing plants within the incumbents’ area of responsibility
• Standardizing control solution utilizing the best practices as outlined by the process control department
• Adhering to all systems and procedures as required by Valterra Platinum
• Safe achievement of maintenance tasks to support production performance.
• Ensuring that the work area is maintained to the required housekeeping standards.
• Supporting, coaching and participating in the training and development of subordinates and apprentices
• 5 O’Levels subjects including Mathematics, English and Science
• Apprenticeship Trained and Certified Competent as an Artisan
• A National Certificate (NC) or National Diploma (ND) in Instrumentation and Control, Electrical Engineering, or Automation
• Training in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
• A minimum of 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience in the relevant discipline
• Must be familiar with SHEQ Systems.
