Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – Nuclear Power Plant
Location: Onsite – Glen Rose, Texas
Employment Type: Long Term assignment, excellent compensation and benefits.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Glen Rose nuclear power facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in nuclear power plant operations, instrumentation and control (I&C), and distributed control systems (DCS). This role requires hands-on expertise with the hardware and software of Siemens TXP and T3000 systems, as well as a solid understanding of power plant maintenance and operational practices.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support for electrical systems within the nuclear power plant.
• Maintain and troubleshoot I\&C systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Siemens TXP and T3000 DCS platforms.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve system issues and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and procedures as required.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years in nuclear power plant operations or maintenance.
• Proven experience with I&C systems and DCS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens TXP and T3000 systems is required.
• Knowledgeable in the turbine governor control system (SIMADYN)
• Experience with PLC programming (ladder logic, function block diagrams) and industrial control software (e.g., RSLogix, Unity Pro, WinCC).
• Strong knowledge of power plant electrical systems and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Glen Rose, Texas.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with NRC, NERC regulations and industry standards.
• Familiarity with electrical codes such as IEEE and NEC
• Experience in system upgrades and modernization projets
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
