New River Community and Technical College is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Registered Nurse Educator to join our associate degree Nursing (ADN) Program. This is more than a teaching position — it is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on students, healthcare partners, and communities across West Virginia.

What You’ll Do
Inspire & Educate
Deliver engaging instruction in classroom, clinical, skills lab, and simulation settings
Facilitate meaningful pre- and post-clinical conferences
Use innovative teaching strategies and instructional technology to enhance learning
Create organized, outcome-driven lesson plans aligned with course objectives
Mentor & Support Students
Provide timely, constructive feedback that promotes growth
Evaluate student performance and identify opportunities for remediation
Counsel and guide students throughout their academic journey
Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate & Lead
Work closely with fellow nursing faculty and the Director of the ADN Program
Participate in curriculum development and student learning outcomes assessment
Serve as a liaison to healthcare partners and professional organizations
Contribute to admissions, advisory meetings, and program initiatives
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a nurse educator who is:
Passionate about teaching and mentoring
Committed to student success
Organized and adaptable
Comfortable in clinical, classroom, and simulation environments
Dedicated to maintaining professional standards and safety
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
Minimum three (3) years of acute care clinical experience
Two (2) or more years of teaching or equivalent experience
Experience teaching nursing theory and/or clinical skills
Education
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Nursing Education (MNEd)
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) with enrollment in a graduate nursing program within one year of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Community college teaching experience
Concept-based curriculum experience
Simulation and advanced instructional technology experience
Online or web-based course development experience
Curriculum design and assessment experience
