POSITION:  Installer Apprentice II

Founded in 2014, DWS Energy is a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary electrical construction company focused on commercial and utility-scale solar and battery storage (new construction and operations & maintenance), building controls wiring, and electrical pre-fabrication solutions in our UL-508A certified panel shop. The organization has expanded its service offerings throughout its tenure and continues to grow at an accelerated rate.

OVERVIEW:  The Installer Apprentice II – Electrical role will build upon your foundational skills and take on more complex tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building management systems. This position is ideal for individuals who have gained some experience and are ready to advance their career in electrical controls installation.

DUTIES:  The duties and responsibilities of the Installer Apprentice II may include but are not limited to:

Perform installations of building management systems with minimal supervision, including wiring, controls, and related components.

Execute complex installations of electrical conduit and cables, ensuring precision, adherence to project specifications, and compliance with safety standards.

Diagnose and repair system issues, providing solutions to ensure optimal performance.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Mentor and assist Level I apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The following are required skills and qualifications:

Construction industry experience is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical systems and building management installations.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various environments.

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

REQUIREMENTS:  The following are physical requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials.

Must be able to do prolonged periods of, standing, kneeling, bending

Must be able to work safely on a ladder.

Occasional exposure to outside weather on job sites.

Ability to walk job sites for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to occasionally lift at least 35 lbs. solo and 50 lbs. in tandem lifts.
