Job Description
We're on a mission to change the way businesses make decisions with our cutting-edge AI technology. To achieve that, we’re looking for passionate people to join our open and inclusive workplace. Our inclusive environment welcomes skills and experiences from diverse backgrounds, and defines who we are.
About the role - What’s your purpose?
Signal AI, the AI-powered platform for corporate reputation and risk intelligence, is hiring a Junior Insights Analyst to support Memo, recently acquired by Signal AI. Memo partners directly with publishers to provide readership and engagement data on earned media, helping brands understand not just what coverage they earned, but what truly resonated with audiences and why.
This role sits within Signal AI’s Strategic Solutions team but will initially focus on Memo client work. You’ll combine data analysis, storytelling, and qualitative research to uncover the narratives driving impact, competitive positioning, and communications opportunities. The role centres on transforming complex media data into actionable insights and executive-ready recommendations for clients, with the opportunity to expand into broader Strategic Solutions work across Signal AI over time.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities - What you will be doing:
• Analyse large sets of structured and unstructured data for a wide range of industries and brands
• Transform data into clear, compelling stories and actionable recommendations
• Prepare polished reports that combine visualisations with key takeaways.
• Present findings to internal teams and client stakeholders
• Become deeply familiar with client objectives and communications strategies
• Work cross-functionally with other departments, including customer success, product, and sales
Who are we looking for?
• You love transforming data into strategic insights
• You have strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• You know how to visualise charts and lay out data that tells an impactful story
• 2+ years of relevant experience in communications/marketing measurement, data analysis, business intelligence, or consulting
• Experience constructing logic-based queries (e.g., Boolean searches), working with both structured data and unstructured text, and data visualisation
• Strong communication skills; can translate complex ideas and statistical concepts into everyday language
• You have a global outlook and sensitivity to how media and culture intersect with corporate reputation and risks.
• You want to work on the next wave of insights, using transformational AI technology to drive business intelligence forward
• You’re hungry to be part of a fast-growing company that values entrepreneurship, enthusiasm and initiative
Must-have skills:
• Passion for and experience diving into the data: You enjoy diving into data points and extracting insights that tell stories executives don’t already know. This means being familiar with pulling, plotting and visualising data
• Curiosity and an analytical mind
• Excel, data and mathematical skills to “slice and dice” the data into your own pivot views, and follow scoring methodologies
• Strong critical thinking skills - the ability to take an ambiguous ask and break down how to answer it
• A keen sense for data visualisation using tools such as Tableau, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, etc.
• A keen sense for copywriting to help editorialise and “TL;DR” your research into business insights for C-Suite leaders.
• A can-do attitude and future-looking mindset - you are proactive and energetic, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to problem solve or create solutions.
Nice-to-have:
• Familiarity with social listening/media monitoring tools
• Background in / experience working for professional or financial services
