About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and self-directed Inside Sales Representative to serve as the operational backbone of our sales department. In this role, you'll be far more than an order-taker—you'll be a trusted partner to sales leadership, owning the complete quoting process, managing customer relationships, and driving CRM excellence that powers our sales operations.

What You'll Do
Own Quote and Estimate Management
• Manage the complete quoting process from initial customer inquiry through quote delivery and follow-up, presenting completed quotes to leadership for final review with supporting context and recommendations
• Prepare accurate estimates and pricing proposals by analyzing customer drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and other internal departments to gather necessary inputs for comprehensive quotes
• Track quote status, manage follow-up timelines, and maintain organized quote pipelines
• Effectively prioritize competing quote requests while maintaining quality, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating tenacity in pursuing quote completion and customer follow-up with minimal oversight
• Maintain high levels of accuracy while managing multiple concurrent quoting activities
• Take proactive initiative to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the quoting process
Deliver Exceptional Customer Account Support
• Respond promptly to all customer inquiries regarding order status, product specifications, and general requests with urgency and responsiveness
• Actively listen to and advocate for the voice of the customer while translating their needs into actionable internal communications
• Serve as primary point of contact for assigned non-key customer accounts, providing exceptional and proactive customer service focused on responsiveness, relationship building, satisfaction, and retention
• Handle routine commercial aspects of customer interactions while escalating technical inquiries to engineering as appropriate
• Process purchase orders and coordinate with leadership for contract terms review
• Build trust with customers through consistent, reliable, and professional interactions
Drive CRM Administration and Data Excellence
• Support implementation and ongoing management of company CRM system, ensuring data integrity and consistent utilization of CRM best practices across the sales team
• Take ownership of data quality and proactively identify opportunities to improve CRM utilization and effectiveness
• Maintain accurate and current data on all customer communications, quotes, opportunities, and leads
• Organize and manage customer pipeline and prospecting activities within the CRM
• Generate reports and analytics to support sales planning and strategic decision-making
• Adapt to evolving technology platforms and proactively develop more efficient processes for data entry and pipeline management through continuous learning and initiative
Support Business Development and Sales Operations
• Provide organizational and administrative support to the Business Development Manager, including prospect research, outreach planning, and lead qualification activities
• Maintain continuity of sales operations during absences of key personnel
• Participate in weekly sales meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions
• Support execution of sales initiatives and special projects as assigned
• Anticipate needs and take proactive action to support sales team objectives
• Work collaboratively across departments to achieve shared business goals
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining productivity
Champion Professional Development and Continuous Improvement
• Actively seek opportunities to deepen understanding of company products, processes, and industry
• Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics

What We’re Looking For
Skills & Qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience in inside sales, estimating, sales operations, or customer service within a manufacturing environment; bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing quoting or estimating processes with multiple concurrent projects.
• Proven track record of customer-facing communication and account management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and demonstrated willingness to learn new software systems and adapt to evolving technology platforms.
• Experience in machining or precision manufacturing industries preferred, knowledge of additive manufacturing processes and applications a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, quoting software, or CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) preferred.
• Background in technical sales, sales operations, or engineering support roles a plus; experience implementing or managing CRM systems highly valued.
• Understanding of contract terms, purchase order processing, and commercial negotiations preferred.
• Or other combination of education and/or experience deemed equivalent.

Physical Requirements
• Frequent standing, walking, and bending
