We are seeking a commercially driven Inside Sales & Import–Export Lead to manage end-to-end tendering, techno-commercial proposal development, government e-procurement participation, and international trade operations.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, a clear understanding of manufacturing execution cycles, public procurement compliance, and export-import regulatory frameworks. The incumbent will act as the commercial bridge between Sales, Production, Finance, Logistics, customs authorities, and government bodies to ensure compliant, competitive, and profitable execution of business opportunities.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Bid & Tender Management (Government / Infrastructure Projects)
• Lead the complete lifecycle of RFP/RFQ and tender submissions (technical and commercial).
• Manage online bidding through government portals such as GeM and other central/state e-procurement platforms.
• Analyze tender specifications, commercial clauses, and contractual risks.
• Define bid scope, timelines, and internal coordination plans.
• Ensure adherence to eligibility criteria, statutory requirements, and compliance norms.
• Coordinate preparation of EMD, PBG, and BG documentation with Finance.
• Maintain structured bid trackers and reporting dashboards for management visibility.
2. Techno-Commercial Proposal & Pricing Strategy
• Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals integrating engineering inputs, manufacturing capabilities, costing analysis, and delivery timelines.
• Lead pricing strategy discussions to ensure competitiveness and margin optimization.
• Review and finalize commercial terms, including payment schedules, LD clauses, tax implications, and risk mitigation measures.
• Conduct internal commercial review meetings prior to submission.
• Build in-depth understanding of products and services by reviewing past bids and collaborating with presales and technical teams.
3. Export–Import Management
• Manage the complete export and import lifecycle for manufactured goods, raw materials, components, and capital equipment.
• Prepare and verify key trade documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Bill of Entry, and Certificate of Origin.
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
• Ensure compliance with DGFT regulations, Customs Act provisions, GST requirements, and INCOTERMS.
• Manage LC documentation, advance payments, and bank negotiations.
• Monitor export incentive schemes such as RoDTEP and duty drawback (where applicable).
• Ensure timely realization of export proceeds in line with RBI guidelines.
• Control logistics costs, including demurrage and detention charges.
• Maintain comprehensive trade compliance documentation for audit readiness.
4. Commercial Documentation & Invoicing
• Oversee invoicing for government clients, OEM partners, B2B customers, and subcontractors, ensuring contractual compliance and billing accuracy.
• Ensure milestone-based billing aligned with contractual terms.
• Manage inward and outward shipping documentation.
• Support contract documentation, amendments, and change orders.
• Maintain a structured, audit-ready repository of commercial documentation.
5. Vendor & Partner Coordination
• Drive vendor onboarding and compliance documentation processes.
• Interface with OEMs, subcontractors, and logistics providers.
• Ensure vendor readiness for tender participation.
• Support supply chain alignment during project execution.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Design, Production/PPC, Procurement, Finance, Logistics, and Customs teams.
• Ensure alignment between bid commitments and manufacturing capacity.
• Proactively identify and mitigate commercial, operational, and regulatory risks.
