Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Professional at Pref-Tech will be responsible for:
Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and follow up with outbound phone calls and emails, understanding customer needs and requirements, routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate Sales and Design Professional (SDP) for further development and closure.
Work with customers to ensure a smooth sales process.
You will handle most material only sales and support your designated SDP to assist them with their Preferred Partner accounts.
Provide backup to the Sales Coordinator and SDPs in their absence.
You will demonstrate excellent customer services and professionalism.
You will develop leads and seek opportunities to present additional products to current customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and assume accountability for assigned sales projects and sales tasks.
Maintain and continue to develop sales and design skills and certifications.
Support Sales Team in developing, identifying, and cultivating sales opportunities with strategic clients for Structured Cabling Systems, Electronic Security Systems, A/V Systems and Intrusion Detection
Prepare strategic plans regarding daily activities, lead generation, customer contact and structure of calls and appointment and follow-up.
Manage leads, deals and contacts in Pref-Tech’s CRM.
Prepare proposals and estimates with detailed scopes of
Facilitate bidding process with estimation/sales team using MS
Collaborate with Design/Estimation and Sales and Design Professionals.
Identify and resolve client
In-depth knowledge of products and services that Pref-Tech
In-depth knowledge of a rapidly changing market that comprises the products and services that Pref-Tech
Self-starter with a positive outlook and a high level of
Excellent presentation (development and delivery), verbal and written communication, and interpersonal
Adhere to all HR and safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Typing: Net Speed of 35 words per minute
Strong client facing experience
Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy
Desired Qualifications:
1+ year in sales or security
Experience in creating estimates, proposals, and designs
Experience in the security industry preferred
Fluency with Microsoft Office 365 software tools

Work Hours:
Standard workdays and times are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We currently have a hybrid work schedule.
Physical Requirement:
This position is primarily office-based and requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and electronically.
