Job title: Initial Airworthiness Consultant

Location: Madrid, Spain (Tres Cantos) or Berlin, Germany (Mitte)

Your Responsibilities and Tasks: 

As an Initial Airworthiness Consultant at Murzilli Consulting, you will be a key team member, responsible for guiding and supporting clients in achieving product certification and design verification processes.  

Your tasks will include: 

Work closely with clients to define and develop their product’s initial airworthiness and certification strategy and roadmap. 

Conduct gap analyses to identify areas requiring attention to meet certification requirements. 

Perform capabilities assessments to assess the maturity levels of the client’s processes 

Prepare and execute certification plans to guide clients through the certification process. 

Navigate through initial airworthiness requirements to support our clients in their type of certification or design verification activities. 

Prepare design verification and certification plans, reports and supporting material 

Prepare compliance demonstration pathways and means of compliance for design verification and type certification projects 

Support government and authority clients with advisory support on policymaking, initial airworthiness best practices and regulatory updates for new technologies 

Perform system safety analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with products. 

Provide recommendations and best practices to enhance product safety 

Manage design review activities virtually and on-site. 

Experience and Qualification: 

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: 

A master’s degree in engineering, aviation, or a related field 

2-5 years of relevant experience in aviation, space or drones 

Experience in aircraft certification, initial airworthiness, policymaking or rulemaking projects 

Proven experience in client communication is a plus. 

Proven experience in start-up environments is a plus. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent presentation and communication skills. 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Proficient language skills in English and preferably another language, such as
Spanish, German, French or Italian.
