Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an Infrastructure Storage Analyst to join an established Platform team, providing technical expertise across storage and virtualised infrastructure environments. The role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving production incidents, maintaining storage platforms, and supporting enterprise infrastructure technologies including VMware, Cisco UCS, IBM Storage, and Spectrum Scale. The position operates within a complex, pressurised production environment and requires strong technical depth, independent problem-solving capability, and a proactive approach to process improvement and documentation.

What you will do:

• Troubleshoot and resolve production service incidents independently and escalate to senior engineers when required.
• Perform technical tasks including patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts, and configuring backups.
• Provision and redact storage across the IBM storage estate covering all technologies.
• Manage replication activities using global mirror, metro mirror, and change volumes.
• Apply cluster management within Spectrum Scale, Oracle, and ESXi environments.
• Configure and support Spectrum Scale protocols including GPFS, NFS, and SMB in active-active topology.
• Support VMware environments including vSphere, vRealize, Site Recovery Manager, and Operations Manager.
• Support Cisco UCS infrastructure combining compute, networking, and storage.
• Maintain and support vSAN and VxRail storage technologies.
• Operate within Linux command line environments to support IBM Storage systems.
• Manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
• Prioritise tasks effectively to ensure high-priority activities are completed first.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation to improve team efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and procedures.
• Support virtualisation architectures and maintain awareness of how technical actions impact service availability.
• Collaborate effectively within an Agile delivery environment.

• Demonstrable expertise in VMware technologies including vSphere, vRealize, Site Recovery Manager, and Operations Manager.
• Strong experience with Cisco UCS infrastructure and enterprise storage technologies including vSAN and VxRail.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Flash Systems including replication using global mirror, metro mirror, and change volumes.
• Experience applying cluster management within Spectrum Scale environments.
• Knowledge of Spectrum Scale protocols including GPFS, NFS, and SMB in active-active topology.
• Working knowledge of Linux command line technologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow ticket management.
• Understanding of virtualisation architectures and ESXi environments.
• Awareness of GKLM or SKLM technologies.
• Appreciation of cloud technologies including AWS and server administration features.
• Experience working within complex, high-pressure production environments.
• Financial services experience desirable but not essential.
