Engineer, Chennai
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining highly critical production and non-production environments catered across multiple data centers. You will be expected to function as the highest level of technical support and escalation for high severity Issues and requests related to Linux, KVM & CISCO UCS. You will take the role of Subject Matter Expert in automated and general KVM environments primarily running on UCS hardware. 
The Infrastructure Engineer should have sufficient troubleshooting knowledge & experience in working with Linux/OLVM& UCS systems connected to SAN/NAS storage systems, and production databases. Knowledge on networking fundamentals, current security concepts, as well as KVM& UCS hypervisors, to effectively cooperate with Infrastructure Network and Security teams to deliver solutions on a wide scale covering all the infrastructure environment aspects. Should be well rounded in all data center technologies to maintain the environment healthy. 
Responsibilities  
• Deploying and configuring Linux Server based operating systems in the data center including additional Linux features and roles such as IIS, RDS, DNS, File Services, according to defined infrastructure standards 
• Commissioning and Decommissioning Linux Servers 
• Knowledge on Change Management & Service Request Management for multiple type of requests from Various Platform (Linux, OLVM, Cisco UCS) 
• Must have Knowledge of Cisco UCS Platform (UCS Infrastructure, Service Profile, Template etc.) 
• Work with multiple Infra teams and Stakeholders and complete all requests within timelines to meet the SLAs (service level agreements). 
• Work with multiple stakeholders in a technical bridge call to solve the problems related to Linux, KVM & UCS within timelines to meet SLAs. 
• Independently Handle critical issues related to Linux OS (Operating System), KVM clusters & UCS H/W and fix them.  
• Identify the RCA and implement permanent resolutions on time. 
• Must have hands on experience in configuring and managing KVM clusters at large scale.  
• Experience in managing, monitoring & configuring UCS hardware  
• Knowledge in load balancers 
• Make sure to address the critical & high priority alerts well on time to prevent the system failures and production impact 
• Ongoing enhancement and improvement of existing automated infrastructure processes 
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of new and existing automated workflow processes, scripted procedures, configurations, settings and recovery plans 
• Work closely with infrastructure, application support and other groups to arrive at 
• Permanent solutions to problem tickets and implement the identified solutions on Linux servers / KVM clusters.  
• Create & publish best practices related to Linux, KVM clusters & UCS. 
• Implement H/W level monitoring for production of UCS servers. 
• Work closely with the Global Support Team, development, and infrastructure- operations teams to support the automation of the infrastructure 
• 4+ years equivalent hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and administration with specialized skills in systems engineering, with knowledge on infrastructure automation. 
• Must have in-depth knowledge on UCS chassis / bare-metal blades, FI, networks & disks and other CISCO H/W architecture 
• Must have Advanced knowledge in navigating and troubleshooting Linux operating systems and KVM clusters on UCS platforms including OLVM. 
• Hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure automation platforms such as PowerShell,etc. Certificate for any of the platforms is a plus. 
• Complete knowledge on change, incident & problem management processes. 
• Knowledge in enterprise infrastructure configuration tools like Ansible / Puppet 
• Complete understanding of how infra components like servers, database, network, storage, firewalls, AD, DNS, monitoring etc. connect and co-relate with each other. 
• Understand cloud technologies and infrastructure virtualization. 
• Be flexible to hold and attend workshops; or perform remote site installation and configuration. 
• Have good verbal and written communication skills (English) in both technical and non-technical communications 
• Understanding DevOps process and Agile development cycle with Continuous Integration / Delivery (CI/CD). Experience with CI/CD platforms is a plus.
