Job Role 

In this role, your responsibilities will involve supporting company infrastructure to uphold SLA standards. This encompasses building systems, conducting both proactive and reactive maintenance, implementing configuration changes, and documenting all system-related activities.

Job Duties

Manage and maintain Linux servers via CLI.

Installing and/or configuration of servers in a production environment.

Monitoring various types of servers, network devices and applications.

Managing virtual and physical devices.

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years Linux experience ESSENTIAL.

Experience with configuration management.

Have a good understanding of networking protocols and common services such as HTTP(s), DNS etc.

Working knowledge of virtualization or containerization.

Working experience with Syslog and other application logs in a Linux environment.

Have excellent troubleshooting skills and experience, both on network and application levels.

Advantageous Skills/Experience

SIEM and Monitoring Systems.

Working experience with infrastructure automation tools (i.e Puppet, Ansible, Chef).

Experience with Python / Bash.

Working experience with a scripting language in a production environment (Python preferred).

Experience in networking and routers/switches.

Knowledge of the ELK stack will be highly beneficial.

Experience with Azure/GCP/AWS.

Experience in Windows Server and Desktop OS's, in enterprise environments.

Have a passion for, or desire to learn or work in the cybersecurity field.

Be attentive to detail.

Eager to learn.

Have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, particularly via email.

Willingness to work in as a pro-active team member to improve efficiencies and solve problems.

Good work ethics (i.e punctuality; accountability).
