Required Skills
Job Description
This role is for one of the Weekday's clients
Salary range: Rs 1800000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 18 - 25 LPA)
Min Experience: 3 years
Location: Bengaluru
JobType: full-time
Requirements:
We specialize in automating the creation of 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D CAD models, fully incorporating GD&T. Our clients, currently engaged in active trials, span industries such as automotive, robotics, and aerospace. We are a seed-stage company with a team of 8 engineers and have raised $3M in funding.
Our solutions are deployed both in the cloud and on customer infrastructure, including on-premises Windows machines located at shipyards and manufacturing facilities. Our processing pipeline executes compute-intensive tasks on Windows servers and requires high reliability at scale.
What you’ll do
• Take ownership of on-premises deployment: package our software stack for customer Windows servers, secure air-gapped networks, and local storage solutions. Develop configuration management playbooks and manage virtualized environments.
• Enhance system reliability by implementing retry and fallback mechanisms for process failures, load balancing across worker nodes, circuit breakers, and dead-letter queues. Our multi-stage asynchronous pipeline demands comprehensive failure handling throughout.
• Build observability from the ground up, including monitoring systems, dashboards, and structured logging.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines, while optimizing for cost efficiency.
• Ensure security and compliance with standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR through audit logging, access controls, encryption, and handling customer security questionnaires.
• Automate quality assurance with stress testing involving parallel workers, regression testing across various file formats and versions, and automated validation of pipeline outputs.
Must have
• 3 to 5 years of experience in building infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker in production environments.
• Proven track record deploying software on physical machines or customer-controlled environments; Windows experience is mandatory.
• Expertise with event-driven systems using message queues, including implementing retry logic, backoff strategies, idempotency, and dead-letter queues.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or equivalents, and observability stacks like Grafana and Prometheus or similar.
• Engineering experience related to SOC 2, ISO, and GDPR compliance.
• Proficiency in Python or Go, and comfort working with Linux and bash.
Nice to have
• Ability to read C++ or C# code, as you will collaborate with our CAD reliability team working in these languages.
• Experience with KVM or other hypervisors.
• Background as an early engineer at a startup that successfully sold to enterprise clients and navigated on-premises deployment challenges.
• Experience transforming a cloud-based product into one that can be deployed on-premises.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tooling.
