THE WORK::
• You’ll oversee the review and approval of technical and design documents.
• You’ll manage and resolve technical comments, ensuring clear and timely closure.
• You’ll serve as the technical liaison between Developers/Design-Builders, TDIP SMEs, and review teams.
• You’ll collaborate with T5 Project Managers and the Program Design Manager to define, review, and approve design requirements.
• You’ll provide guidance when design requirements or responsibilities are unclear in project documents.
• You’ll review and assess changes to project scope for technical accuracy and alignment.
• You’ll establish and enforce consistent submittal review and approval procedures.
• You’ll audit project team comments and designer responses for quality and compliance.
• You’ll monitor compliance with architectural, engineering, and program design standards.
• You’ll oversee permitting coordination and track progress through required approval processes.
• You’ll support project teams to ensure design reviews stay on schedule and within budget.
• You’ll develop and maintain the program scope tracker to ensure all scope elements are accounted for.
• You’ll manage BIM coordination and implementation in alignment with LAWA BIM standards and cBIM strategy.
• Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED::
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or related field required
• 15 years or more experience in managing the design of large, complex building projects, utilities and infrastructure improvements, preferably on airport projects
• Design management of complex aviation improvements experience required
• Experience managing a team of design professionals
• Experience with projects more than $100 million in value.
• Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build
• Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
• Must have a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; and willing and capable to assume additional responsibilities
• Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE::
• Professionally licensed Architect and/or Engineer strongly preferred
• Ability to work in CAD or REVIT a plus
