Job Description

This position is responsible for delivering technical solutions as a member of the team providing services to meet and exceed scope requirement for projects at our client’s site. Candidate will track and monitor progress of tasks assigned as well as offer preemptive solutions to effectively minimize down time and project failures.
The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and dependencies and the ability to drive projects to completion.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5+ years relevant working knowledge Informix.
Proven knowledge and experience conducting database migrations.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Installation of the Informix server versions 11 and 12. Ability to configure to work with Solaris.
Work with DBAs in AIX and Solaris environments
Ability to migrate databases from AIX to Solaris platform (approx.. 2 to 3TB with minimal outage window)
Test and validate applications in Solaris
Good knowledge of the timeseries module and migration of timeseries data.
Good scripting abilities on both Solaris and AIX. Ability to port scripts from one environment to another.
