POSITION PURPOSE
Provide ongoing analysis and planning of the credit union’s technology infrastructure to include, switches, enterprise routers, servers, and network hardware and software. Recommend changes or upgrades or new products that meet the needs of the credit union. Perform maintenance, upgrades, and installation of computer hardware and peripheral equipment. Works with credit union personnel and outside vendors as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Monitor network server functions. Implement and monitor controls to ensure standards are maintained.
Communicate with system vendors to resolve technical issues.
Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching products available to best meet those needs.
Assist staff with daily tasks. Provide technical support as required.
Assist members with all technology related issues as required. Ensure members are served in a highly efficient and effective manner.
Monitor data backup jobs and rotate backup media.
Install and repair computer hardware and peripherals.
Maintain security systems. Generate and review reports regularly.
Keep abreast of current technology trends and notify management of significant updates or suggested technological improvements.
Update and maintain documented system protocols.
Ensure hardware and software and network support is provided to internal staff in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
Perform other duties, projects or tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
College degree in IT or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Knowledge:
Understanding of Credit Union operations and information technology needs.
Thorough understanding of technology infrastructure.
Thorough knowledge of business software applications.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, including desktop OS, as well as Windows Server 2012-2019, and Active Directory.
Thorough knowledge of Virtualization; ex VMware, Vshpere, and ESXi hosts.
Experience Required:
Five (5) years to seven (7) years of similar or related experience.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Well organized.
Solid project management abilities.
Good communication skills.
Able to use PC, computer hardware and software, and all related technical
equipment.
Demonstrates carefulness about detail and is thorough in completing work tasks.
Performs effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demands.
Maintains confidentiality related to Credit Union operations and work-related information.

Customer Relationship Management CRM Software – Various programs dependent on the Credit Union needs
Electronic Mail Software – Email software; e.g. Microsoft Outlook
General – General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners.
Internet Browser Software – Web browser software; Microsoft Internet Explorer; Microsoft Edge; Mozilla Firefox; Google Chrome
Operating Systems Software – Computer operating systems; e.g. Microsoft Windows, Windows Server
Computer Software – MS Office; Word, Excel, etc.
