As the Information Security Officer, you will be the owner of LiveEO’s ISMS and act as the central contact point for all matters related to security audits, certifications, and risk governance, both internally and externally, ensuring that our systems and data meet the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and availability. The role also includes managing internal audit cycles, training, and personnel security processes such as background screening.

You will guide both strategic security architecture and day-to-day operational governance, ensuring LiveEO remains compliant with frameworks like SOC2 and ISO 27001. The ideal candidate brings not only cloud‑native security expertise but also proven, hands‑on experience with BSI IT‑Grundschutz, which is a mandatory requirement for this role.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, regulated, and technically complex environments.

Your challenge:
• Lead LiveEO’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ensure it meets German and international standards.
• Drive implementation and successful audits for BSI certification, SOC2 Type II and ISO27001, among others.
• Design and enforce internal security policies, access controls, and risk management procedures.
• Support audit readiness and lead interactions with certification bodies and enterprise customers.
• Promote a culture of security through internal training, awareness programs, and process ownership.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendors for security posture and compliance risks.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory requirements and adapt policies accordingly.
• Work with CTO (primary reporting line) and COO for cross-organizational security and compliance alignment, as well as with Engineering and Infrastructure for secure system design and monitoring, and Enterprise customers, partners and auditors for compliance reviews and due diligence processes

Your profile:
Must Have• German nationality (due to customer and compliance requirements) 
• 7+ years of experience in information security, IT governance, or risk & compliance roles 
• Proven success with BSI certification or audit projects 
• Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, or NIST 800-53 frameworks 
• Strong understanding of cloud-native security, especially AWS
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills 
• Fluency in German and English

Nice to Have
• Experience in regulated sectors (space, energy, mobility, telecom, etc.)
• Experience leading a Workplace IT or internal IT operations team
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, secure CI/CD pipelines, or software supply chain security
• Experience with Teleport, Auth0, or comparable IAM tooling
