Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical Information Architect who can create clear, logical, and user-friendly structures for our products. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting content inventories, user research, card sorting, and tree testing, and a solid understanding of usability and human behavior. A background in UX design or HCI, as well as certifications from NN/g or HFI, is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain the information architecture (IA) across digital products, ensuring intuitive navigation, structure, and labeling systems
• Conduct user research, card sorting, tree testing, and task analysis to inform IA decisions
• Develop sitemaps, navigation models, content taxonomies, metadata frameworks, and search schemas
• Collaborate with UX designers, content strategists, product managers, and developers
• Translate business and user needs into scalable IA solutions
• Document and maintain IA guidelines as part of the design system
• Evaluate and improve existing structures based on analytics and user feedback
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Library Science, UX Design, or a related field
• 3–6 years of experience in Information Architecture, UX, or interaction design
• Proven experience conducting IA-specific usability methods like card sorting and tree testing
• Strong understanding of usability principles, human cognition, and user behavior
• Experience creating and optimizing taxonomies, metadata systems, and content models
• Proficient in IA and UX tools such as Miro, Figma, OptimalSort, and Axure
• Excellent documentation, wireframing, and communication skills
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines and content strategy best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification from NN/g or HFI in UX or IA
• Experience working with large-scale platforms or complex digital ecosystems
• Background in search optimization, content strategy, or technical writing
• Experience with multilingual and cross-cultural IA challenges
