Role Summary and Impact
As an Influencer Marketing Manager within Strategy, you play a central role in shaping how influencer marketing drives both brand impact and business growth for global and local clients. You are responsible for developing, pitching, and executing forward-thinking influencer strategies that are culturally relevant, performance-driven, and fully integrated into broader media and content ecosystems.
In this role, you act as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, guiding them on how to leverage creators and content to build relevance, extend campaigns, and deliver measurable results. You collaborate closely with internal teams across campaign management, media and client leadership, ensuring ideas translate into high-quality execution.
You are someone who combines strategic thinking with creativity and a strong understanding of social content. You have a natural feel for what resonates with different audiences across platforms and enjoy translating insights, trends, and data into clear content and influencer recommendations. You are confident in client dialogue, comfortable taking ownership, and motivated by creating work that is both culturally relevant and commercially effective.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and present influencer marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and brand identity
• Translate audience insights and cultural signals into relevant, engaging content recommendations
• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to clients
• Use performance data, KPIs, and insights to optimize and evolve campaigns
• Stay up to date on platforms, content formats, and creator trends
• Collaborate closely with Campaign Managers, Client Managers, and specialists
• Contribute to pitch work, business development, and account growth
• Support and share knowledge with wider WPP media teams
Skills and Experience
• 3+ years of experience in influencer marketing (agency and/or client side)
• Strong creative and content understanding, with a clear sense of what resonates with different audiences on social media
• Deep knowledge of social platforms, creators, and content performance drivers
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships
• Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
• Analytical, performance-driven, and commercially minded
• Proactive, curious, and culturally tuned in
Nice to Have
• Education in Marketing, Communication, or Media
• Strong skills in PowerPoint
• Experience with video editing
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and/or Canva
