Position Summary
Soluroc is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Industrial Sandblaster/Painter to join our Sudbury team. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying protective coatings to industrial components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform abrasive blasting (sandblasting) to clean and prepare metal surfaces
Apply industrial coatings, paints, and protective finishes using spray equipment
Inspect surfaces before and after preparation/painting to ensure quality standards are met
Mix paints and coatings according to specifications
Operate and maintain sandblasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and ventilation systems
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Identify and report equipment issues or quality concerns
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience in industrial sandblasting and/or painting (preferred)
Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating applications
Experience with spray painting equipment (airless, conventional, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physically capable of lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in industrial environments
Comfortable working in confined spaces and wearing protective gear
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Assets (Nice to Have)
Experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
Forklift or overhead crane experience
