Job Description
Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to support our Vancouver branch, based out of our Vancouver office located in Surrey BC (Office Location - 19175 - 22nd Avenue, Surrey BC V3Z 3S6).
Day In the Life:
• Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment. Saws, Shears, brake press, vacuum lifters, CNC equipment, cranes, engines, Pneumatic systems, forklifts, etc.
• Assist with installation of new equipment, rebuilds, system modifications and upgrades.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and all safety systems are operational at all times.
• Perform general facility repairs such as minor plumbing and electrical work, repair of doors, faucets, appliances.
• Preform repairs in the maintenance shop, our two manufacturing facilities as well as on site.
• Maintain records of work performed, repairs, labor hours and materials consumed.
• Initiate corrective and preventive solutions through proper channels.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure that work practices are compliant with WorkSafe BC and CSA safety standards.

What We Are Seeking :
• Minimum 4-year's experience working in a maintenance tech role, ie. Red Seal Millwrights, experienced non-ticketed technicians, and mechanically skilled candidates with electrical, pneumatic, and automation knowledge.
• Mechanical knowledge, which includes knowledge of tools and materials.
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 22 kg.
• Hardworking and reliable team player.
• Able to learn quickly and work efficiently.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Electrical trouble shooting considered an asset.
• Experience in the glazing industry considered an asset
