Your Mission

• Construction & Assembly: Work with the process plant engineering team to construct complex piping systems and assemble individual components and entire assembly groups for the pilot plant metal skid frame.

• Manufacturing & Customization: Produce and customize mechanical components using techniques like milling, turning (lathe), drilling, laser and waterjet cutting, grinding, and welding, etc.

• Fitting & Mounting: Fit and mount components into the mechanical skid frame.

• Process Plant Commissioning: Temporarily construct and commission chemical process plants in Ismaning, and Alberta.

• Maintenance: Maintain existing process plants and workshop machines.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to general safety and organizational rules in the workshop.

What You Bring

• Background: Completed training as an Industrial Mechanic (abgeschlossene Ausbildung) or Master craftsman qualification (Meisterabschluss) in industrial mechanics, mechatronics, or similar.

• Hands-On Experience: Proficient in manufacturing, adapting, and assembling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.

• Machining Skills: Experience in milling, turning, drilling, and other machining activities.

• Testing & Inspection: Skilled in inspecting and functionally testing mechanical, electric and electronic components.

• Reliable - You take strong responsibility for your work and can be counted on to get things done.

• Creative & Open-Minded - You can think outside the box and apply your knowledge to novel first-of-a-kind (FOAK) solutions.

• Bias for action - You prototype, test, and ship while others are still planning

• Comfortable with intensity - 12-hour days and weekend sprints don't scare you, they energize you

• Ego second - You care more about winning than being right

• Figure things out independently - No hand-holding. You own problems end-to-end

• Excellence as standard - Mistakes happen, but mediocrity doesn't

Bonus Points

• PLC Programming skills.

• Electronics and electrical experience.

• Accreditation to work with explosive gases (e.g., hydrogen).

• Experience in welding polymer pipes, such as fibre-reinforced polypropylene piping systems.
