Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, skilled maintenance worker to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout our facility. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs, maintenance, and cleaning to ensure that our facilities and equipment are clean, ready, and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform minor fixes, such as repairing locks, damage to walls, building exterior maintenance, exterior and parking lot lighting systems, irrigation,
Maintain grounds, including snow removal, yard upkeep, mowing, collecting trash, etc.
Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly inspection, and maintenance logs, for the upkeep of our equipment.
Perform daily cleaning activities, wiping down public common areas, mopping, main area trash removal, daily disinfecting of the high-risk areas, etc.
Complete regular maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, servicing air compressors, filters of HVAC system, etc...
Inspect, troubleshoot shop equipment and systems such as forklifts, air/gas systems, etc.
Test the functionality of the facility’s safety and lighting systems.
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise employee safety.
Drive our company truck for errands, and material pickups.
Assisting other departments as need.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
2-years related experience
Must read, write and speak English proficiently
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
Valid Nebraska driver license.
Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and natural gas systems is a plus.
Experience with 120v, 220v, and 460v electrical systems is a plus.
Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools.
Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
General passion for creative problem-solving
Work Environment
This is a working manufacturing and production facility. As such this is a hot, dusty, loud area, and there are always moving parts. Caution and attention to your surroundings needs to always be at the for front of your mind as safety always starts with you.
Travel
Less than 5% per year.
Attention to Detail
Must possess resourcefulness, initiative, and skill to function in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail in goal/task accomplishment with minimal supervision; professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with others.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
