SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Fabricator for our growing industrial fabrication team in York, PA. A successful candidate should have a willingness to learn and basic understanding of complex drawings and instructions.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Layout, fit up, assemble and fabricate using engineered drawings.
Welding structural and plate steel parts as specified per drawing and marked up weld symbols.
Experience with handrail and stair fabrication is preferred.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Obtain and maintain the required welding certification(s).
Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection.
Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade.
Communicate up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
Assure work is completed in a safe manner while following all required safety policies.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning work area, operating break machine, shear and other production related jobs.
REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience of operating Overhead Cranes is preferred.
3 to 5 years of welding experience is required.
Welding certification in D1.1 2G/3G is required.
Must be flexible to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
Must have strong mathematical skills.
Ability to read and understand drawings and instructions.
