Industrial Designer

We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Designer to help shape the next generation of Birdbuddy products. You will play a key role in defining the physical experience of our products from early concept through to mass production working at the intersection of design, engineering, and manufacturing.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and cares deeply about building products people love.

Key Responsibilities: 

Lead end-to-end industrial design from concept development to production.

Develop compelling form language and product aesthetics aligned with Birdbuddy’s brand.

Create high-quality 3D models, renderings, and prototypes (Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot).

Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and execution.

Drive rapid prototyping and iterative development cycles to quickly validate ideas.

Contribute to design strategy and product definition, not just execution.

Define and refine CMF (Color, Material, Finish) for production-ready products.

Support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and production ramp-up.

Key Qualifications: 

3–5+ years of experience in industrial design.

Strong portfolio demonstrating consumer electronics or hardware products.

Excellent skills in: Form development & visual storytelling, 3D modeling (Rhino, SolidWorks), Rendering (KeyShot or similar).

Experience collaborating with engineering and manufacturing partners.

Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, CMF, and manufacturing processes.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and iterate quickly in a fast-paced (startup) environment.

Strong creative problem-solving mindset.

Experience bringing products from concept to mass production.

Background in smart/connected devices.

Familiarity with sustainable materials and design practices.
