Key Responsibilities:  
The Indirect Tax - Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Use Tax compliance process, working closely with a third-party service provider and the Sales and Use tax expert in the US. The role ensures the timely and accurate submission of Sales and Use Tax returns, while assisting with audits, tax recovery, and continuous improvement of tax processes. 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Tax Compliance Support: 
• Assist with the preparation and filing of US Sales and Use tax returns to ensure timely submission. 
• Support business units by responding to Sales and Use tax-related inquiries. 
• Work with external service providers to ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines wherever required.  
• Audit and Review Assistance: 
• Support indirect tax audits by gathering documentation and working closely with tax authorities. 
• Assist with the review of tax codes, AP (Accounts Payable), and AR (Accounts Receivable) invoices to ensure compliance with tax regulations. 
• Tax Recovery and Refund Process: 
• Assist in indirect tax recovery and refund processes, particularly for foreign invoices and travel & expense claims. 
• Monitor and follow up on indirect tax refunds and ensure timely payments of taxes. 
• Reconciliation and Documentation: 
• Conduct detailed reviews of AR and AP indirect tax registers. 
• Reconcile the indirect tax general ledger with tax reports and returns. 
• Review exemption certificates according to state-specific rules. 
• Process Improvement: 
• Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of indirect tax compliance processes. 
• Update and maintain standard procedures and documentation related to indirect tax compliance. 
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. A professional certification in taxation or accounting (e.g., CPA, CTA, CMA) is required.  
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably within finance operations environment or multinational corporation.  
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and tax compliance software. Advanced Excel skills preferred. 
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of US Sales and Use tax laws and regulations. 
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. 
Preferred Work-Ex: 
• Familiarity with indirect tax processes in LATAM is a plus but not required. 
• Experience with tax automation tools (Vertex, Avalara, etc.) is a plus.
