A Day in the Life
The Indirect Channel Leader is responsible for end-to-end distributor management across assigned markets, ensuring strong partner performance, compliance, and sustainable business growth. The role serves as the primary interface between distributors and internal stakeholders, driving commercial execution, governance, and long-term partnership value within the healthcare (MedTech) sector.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
• Lead distributor onboarding, appointment, renewal, and non-renewal processes in line with company policies, compliance standards, and regional strategy.
• Contribute to distributor due diligence, governance, contractual lifecycle, and own performance assessments.
• Drive distributor segmentation, capability development, and succession planning where applicable.
• Drive distributor sales performance, market share growth, and execution against agreed KPIs and MPQs.
• Lead regular and structured business reviews covering sales performance, pipeline, forecast accuracy, and execution discipline.
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective, recovery, and growth action plans.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including Commercial Sales teams, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Contracts, Compliance, and other enabling functions.
• Ensure alignment between distributors and internal teams on commercial strategy, priorities, new product launches, and execution plans.
• Actively manage escalations, risks, and cross functional dependencies.
• Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and distributor performance data to support strategic decision making.
• Contribute to annual operating plans, forecasting cycles, and long range growth initiatives.
• Support market expansion and portfolio growth through distributor readiness and execution excellence.
• Drive consistency, transparency, and best practices across distributor management processes.
• Contribute to regional initiatives aimed at strengthening indirect channel maturity, governance, and accountability.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
• 5–10 years of experience in the healthcare / MedTech sector, with strong exposure to indirect channel and distributor management.
• Proven experience working in complex, matrix organizations with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Fluent English (written and spoken), Arabic
• Business Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent)
• Experience managing distributors across multiple and complex markets.
• Experience in managing distributors in the LEVANT, Iran, and Central Asia is a strong advantage.
