Purpose of Job:

The Data Analyst/Scientist will be pivotal in strengthening the organization’s position in the data-related exercises including transforming raw, fragmented, and inconsistent data dumps into structured, high‑quality, business‑ready information. This role manages multiple internal and external data projects, developing automated pipelines, enforcing data quality standards, and supporting operational decision-making across the company.

The deliverables to ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of data. This role will focus on working across multiple data sources and systems to maintain data integrity and support project  operations. We are looking for a proactive Data Scientist to lead a critical data infrastructure projects, turning massive, inconsistent "data dumps" into actionable assets. You will build, validate, and automate data cleaning pipelines using Python and SQL

Key Accountabilities

Process diverse data formats including CSV, Excel, JSON, and SQL dumps using Python (pandas, NumPy).

Resolve structural inconsistencies, missing values, and anomalies in large datasets.

Apply Regex to cleanse messy text fields and standardize formats.

Build clean, relational structures from unorganised or semi‑structured data.

Design and automate end‑to‑end ETL pipelines that ingest, transform, validate, and load data.

Create scripts with audit logs, error-handling, and quality checks for repeatable processes.

Develop coding frameworks that support scalable data engineering operations.

Extract and consolidate data from ERP systems, middleware, banking portals, legacy invoices, and offline databases.

Standardize, deduplicate, and validate data using robust rule sets and validation tools.

Compare historic datasets with newly acquired data to identify deviations and root‑cause inconsistencies.

Maintain detailed documentation covering extraction rules, cleansing logic, validation steps, and pipeline workflows.

Organize supporting evidence for all data changes and store them in SharePoint and Excel repositories.

Work alongside finance teams to reconcile financial, banking, and AP-related data.

Support system migrations by preparing and validating datasets for middleware and enterprise platforms.

Assist in defining and implementing automated data cleansing processes for long‑term governance.

Perform advanced Excel tasks including VLOOKUPs, formula-based transformations, and dataset structuring.

Contribute to data visualisation and reporting; Power BI experience is advantageous.

Essential Knowledge, Experience & Skills

Preferred 12 months of experience as data analyst

Expert proficiency in Python, especially pandas, NumPy, and Regex.

Strong command of SQL for complex data extraction and transformation (SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Knowledge of ETL workflows, automation concepts, and data engineering principles.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues in large datasets.

High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem‑solving ability.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse cultures.

Advanced PowerBI will be an advantage
